Doesn't leak at all, doesn't crack (or at least hasn't cracked yet, fingers crossed it doesn't). Comes with a special sponge on a handle so you can wash the inside of the bottle, which I think is a lovely touch. A very elaborate and efficient flask type lid for such a fragile bottle. I thought it may have been toughened glass but no.
