Amylase GA 500, 1000 ml The Amylase GA 500 amylase, 1000 ml from Schliessmann is a very powerful enzyme preparation containing alpha amylase and used for the rapid liquefaction of seed and core fruit musts in the small distillery. Use: dilute the amount of enzyme required in a quantity of water 10 times larger and add the mixture to your must. Slow heating during distillation (60°) strengthens the effect.

**Q: Does this convert the starch in cracked corn?**
A: Hello Peter, the Amylase Enzyme GA 500 is for the enzymatic decomposition of starch in pome and stone fruit mash. It's unfortunately not suitable to convert the starch in grain. Kind regards.

**Q: At what temperature does this enzyme denature / break down / get destroyed?**
A: The manufacturer recommends a temperature range for this enzyme between 70 and 75 °C. 
Storing the enzyme at 25 °C, it remains active for around 6 months, at 5 °C for at least 1 year. There is no information about the break down temperature.

**Q: Does this product have an expiration date?**
