## Description

From the manufacturer About Us Vitax is a fourth generation family-owned business with roots laid down long before the modern gardening industry as it is known today even existed. Our origins can be traced back to G H Richards, established in 1880 and based in Bermondsey, South London. Mr Richards was a manufacturer of insecticides and supplier of horticultural sundries. During the Second World War, my grandfather, Frank Henry Gooding, a commercial tomato grower and sales agent based on Guernsey, was forcefully evacuated to London. After the war he became involved with, and later took control of, Synchemicals a company formed in this period of austerity and rationing to promote the use of growth hormone products to growers and nurseries.

Review: Good results - Think this is molasses based given the colour. Great for getting the soil biome going, add some horse manure and a dose of this gets it going nicely, careful not to over feed.
Review: Lovely rose food - This is excellent. I bought a new rose for pollinators which I potted up into a massive pot. I used organic rose compost and accompanied with this organic rose food. The results are incredible. The rose has grown so big and has loads of buds waiting to burst open. Am so pleased and highly recommend this product.

**Q: How do you use it?**
A: Mix with water for a liquid feed with watering can or mix with water in a sprayer and spray on as a foliar feed:
"Vitax Organic Liquid Rose Food should be used at weekly intervals during the spring and summer to moistened soil around the base of plants, or it can be used as a foliar spray in the early evening or during dull days. Each 1 litre bottle will give you 300 litres of feed. The NPK is 4-2-6"

**Q: Is this product pet friendly?**
A: Yes it is.

**Q: Best thing I’ve used on roses, does anyone know if I can use on tomato plants?**
A: It has not been tested on tomatoes, although no obvious reason why you can't use it. I would use tomato fertiliser as it is formulated and tested throughly and used for many years. There is a study that states some fertilisers can effect the taste of a tomato and leave a bitterness. I have no experience of this myself,but hope this helps.
