Review: Works great! - This smart biometric pad lock has been working great for me. My profile setup was super easy, and also, so far none of my data has been stolen because I did not receive any warnings on any of my ID protection sites, fingerprint registration happened smoothly, and without issues, I chose to buy a smart lock with physical keys just incase there's a software malfunction, or the lock would be low on energy, yes you can unlock it via smartphone easy if you have your phone on all the time but you can also unlock it by fingerprint even if your phone is off. The lock itself is constructed well, it doesn't feel flimsy or cheap I've had it for a few months now as of writing this review, it's a good investment if you think being a key makes you feel that much more safe than just standard padlocks.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does the app log who opened the lock so you know who last opened it?**
A: Yeah, you can check the unlock records on the APP.

**Q: Does this support BTHome for integration in home assistant?**
A: I don't really know the answer for sure, but I'm guessing the lock could support it -- mainly because you can turn blue-tooth on using what is called the Esmartlock Application.   The Esmartlock app allows one
to open the lock using one's cell phone.  Personally, I have never used the Esmartlock app.  I simply use my fingerprint to open the lock.  I love this lock.  No combinations to remember.  When I'm finished working out in the gym, I simply go to my locker, press my finger on the lock pad, and it opens.   One thing you might try (to see if the lock is compatible) is to check the BTHome integration assistant for compatible devices.  My GUESS is that since this lock uses bluetooth, a blue tooth integration device would work with it.  But again, I don't know for 100% certainty.  Good luck.

A: Bluetooth 5.0

**Q: How many fingerprints can be associated with it?  I need it for about 20 or 30 people, to limit flow of people through a back gate in an apartment bui**

This smart biometric pad lock has been working great for me. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not Smart - Requires Touch Access (EDITED 6-12-2024)

EDIT: 6-12-2024 - The seller contacted me about my poor review of their smart padlock. I suggested they be more transparent in how the mobile app worked with the padlock and I would adjust my review based on that increase transparency. As you can see in the picture attached, which is now in the product description, they make it clear that you have to wake the padlock up in order to use the mobile app, so it is not actually remote access. Outside of this, the lock seems to be a good one. If your application allows you to easily access the padlock for waking it before using the mobile app, this padlock will be a good one for you. ------------------------------------------------ I bought this smart padlock intending to put it on a package receipt box in my yard. I expected a Bluetooth app that would open the padlock from my cell phone and then I would just take the lock off to open the package door. This is not what happens. When you attempt to unlock from your cell phone, it says the device is in a dormant state and you have to open the front of the lock and press the wake button to get the app to open the lock. This completely defeats the purpose of a mobile app for opening a lock. If I have to go to the lock and open the front of it to allow the app to unlock it, I might as well use a key. Don't buy this if you are looking for a smart padlock where the app actually unlocks it remotely.
