As soon as the laser started, the material began to melt and warp rather than cut cleanly. This is likely an extruded acrylic or a different plastic altogether. Save your money and your laser lenses look elsewhere for actual laser-grade material.

**Q: Do you remove the clear protective film before laser engraving?**
A: Most ppl remove the top side, and leave the bottom.  It can help with cleaner edges and smoke.  I personally remove both beforehand,  no reason as to why,  I think I just enjoy peeling it haha

Laser cuts like butter and a hot knife. No issues with strength, cutting or cracking. Not fragile like some others. The stuff makes for some nice gifts. So good, I've purchased it multiple times, and it is always a favorite.
