Review: Easy to use - I purchased a few of these as a substitute for the peat moss ingredient used in Mel's Mix (33% peat moss, 33% compost, 33% vermiculite) for some raised beds. I threw a block of the compressed Coconut Coir into a decent sized container (I re-purposed a 80L plastic storage box from Morrisons) and then poured some warm water over it. The block broke apart with ease and absorbed the water quite quickly. I waited a few minutes and then came back to the container to see some solid bits still there so I added more warm water and repeated the process until the consistency was about right for me to use. I'd estimate 30 minutes for the time it took from opening the packet to using it.
