Not so effective on real heavy pitted alloys but good finishing polish. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It definitely does work! - saved my sanity. *by M***K on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 16 April 2012* We were having the greatest of difficulty in cleaning and polishing our stainless steel cooker hood. Cleaning it was straightforward enough, but polishing it afterwards was proving to be an absolute nightmare. The steel always showed tarnishing, fingermarks etc. After much internet research ( which didn't turn up anything particularly helpful) and trying of various products, I have to say the whole issue was starting to "do my head in".Then I found this polish on Amazon and I am genuinely pleased with the results. Strangely, the polish is supplied in a bottle which has the sort of cap usually associated with bottles of mineral water.... which I did find a bit weird as a lot of the polish was dribbling down the side of the cap. I ended up taking the cap right off.Please note that you do need microfibre cloths to do the final polishing, I did try using ordinary cloths but they did nothing. This stuff only seems to work in conjunction with microfibre cloths.Delighted.Edited 2013- one other tip I have learned is that when you do finally manage to get your stainless steel clean, you should give it a quick rub down with Johnstone's baby oil. It was a professional chef who taught me this dodge. The next time you go to clean the steel, you just wipe off the coating of baby oil ( which is now dirty, obviously) and clean as normal.
