The Amazon information says no you don't, but an answer to another question says yes you do.** A: I didn’t remove my plants as has a thrips infestation on my plants. It seems pointless to treat an empty greenhouse when the pests are on the actual plants! I followed the instructions to the letter and it did burn and produce enough smoke to fill each of my greenhouses. I was quite surprised how much smoke was produced and how quickly it filled the greenhouses. I've just set them away so not sure how effective they are against bugs.
