It works very well and the sink draining area and washing machine remain clean, plus all the taps are clean. I had an electronic magnetic unit before that worked ok until it expired, but the 4 unit system above is the tops. The only downside is that the units have to be at least 2 ft from sensitive electronics as there is a quite strong external magnetic field around each unit. Do you just push on?** A: Ridiculously easy! Its just two magnets that pull apart and then put either side of the pipe amd they connect themselfs together and stay on. It couldnt be more simple and i am pretty useless usually with things like this!Oh but i found the instructions as to where to put it not so helpful but i have a plumber friend who said put it going from the main water pipe going out from the boiler! This magnetic field has an effect on the water and it really does help reduce limescale. I bought several after trying one as I was a bit unsure if this would work but it really does help to reduce the limescale, not completly but enough to notice the difference and how many time we need to descale the kettle etc **Q: .. You can buy more and dot them around i quess if need.
