## Questions & Answers

**Q: What size do I need for a 125 litre tank?**
A: Dr Tims recommends 2oz for 114 litres & 4oz for 227 litres. Does your 125 litre tank have rock in it, which will reduce the litres.

**Q: I received a bottle and it states it expires Aug 2020 does that mean the bacteria is likely dead already?**
A: No. But may loose it’s full potential.

**Q: will this remove green hair algae in a saltwater tank?**
A: I'm not aware it would, but you could contact the company. I would test my water parameters, particularly phosphate. My main tank has been suffering with green hair algae and it's disappearing as the phosphate reduces.

**Q: Can this be used for freshwater tanks as well?**
A: Yes it works 100%

I bought this to cycle a new 255 litre reef tank. The instructions were very clear and there are a couple of very useful videos on line. I followed the instructions to the letter in terms of dosing and testing and the cycle happened just as should, going through the various stages. Personally I much prefer to use something like this rather than use a live fish which would likely be stressed by the poor water quality during the cycle. One concern I did have was that if you followed the instructions fully it states that the tank would be ready for fish after 9 days. This certainly wasn’t the case and it wasn’t until day 15 the the nitrate levels had fallen to zero making the tank fully cycled. I would suggest not following the 9 day suggestion but relying on the results from ammonia, nitrite and nitrate tests. However I was still happy with a 15 day cycle so would use this again if I ever start a new tank.

This product is great for those not patient for a full cycle.Product is great if you want to introduce fish and running a fish only system.If growing corals I recommend using it but also doing a full cycle as the lights can cause a very tough ugly stage
