I had to shorten a piece of the pvc to make it line up because the pipe that connects to the drain came out like 5 inches further than the old one, but no big deal. It went in exactly the same way the old one came out. I didn't have to replace the drain piece, but since it came with it, I figured why not. The old one was pretty worn out. When I turned it on to test it, I had to look down the drain to see if it was spinning because I could barely hear it. It is considerably more quiet than the old one. All you hear is a little hum. I seriously thought it wasn't turning or it was ceasing. Nope it's just quiet. Well worth the money. It was less than the cheapest one at Lowe's and twice the HP. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ You will need to change the flange in the sink *by M***A on Reviewed in the United States on 15 January 2023* You need to change the sink’s flange, otherwise it will leak. The product doesn’t have a good seal with insinkerator flange, so it is not that easy to install. You need to spend more time. It is quite but the water drains really slow.
