The thickness of the cooker is about 1/32 inch. If your United matches this description it should fit. HOWEVER, I cannot recommend using a safety device for a purpose for which it was not designed. Proceed at your own peril. **Q: do i need tools to fit the safety value?** A: YES! I couldn't get the old valve off. Very hard.
