A lot of other reviewers said to order a size up, so I did. I ordered a medium which I never do! They do fit fine BUT I definitely could've ordered a small and they would've fit too. I'd say you can go either route for this: if you want more compression (think Spanx) order your normal size. Just be ok with it being tighter on the waist.
