The pure variation of the films contained within make the collection enjoyable, and there is a real range of drama, terror and comedy. If you are not much of a Hitchcock fan, or want to discover more about the enigma, the set is well worth buying, and there is guaranteed to be something in the films for every type of film fan. The boxset is great value for money too, due to the quantity of films and the fact that every one has extras. Excellent quality, shame there's no North by Northwest or To Catch a Thief but the 'Making of' and other extras more than compensate. Real fans will enjoy the obscure early works seldom seen even on satelite tv. Ration yourself and enjoy the lighter comedic pieces in between the high drama and suspense...so nice to think you can now watch again and again...students of social history will have a ball - some of the dialogue and manners seem so camp from a 21stC viewpoint. Priceless! Would highly recommend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic value and a great introduction to Hitchcock *by L***N on 10 April 2007* Not seen that many of Hitchcock's films so I grabbed this when I saw it. Suitably impressed too. Very classy stuff indeed with all films containing good humour and some fantastic tension. These are perfect rainy day films to while away the hours. Rear Window is excellent and warrants it's legendary status. Grace kelly and James Stewart ooze charisma. Stars just aren't what they used to be. Also enjoyed "Family Plot" very much. Dont know how the afficionados rate that one, but I found it funny and exciting and not a little daft. A couple of the films included aren't as hot, as they haven't aged as well in my opinion. That's a minor critiscm though. The special features also make this a very worthwhile addition to anyone's collection at home. Nice interviews with some of the stars and technical crew.
