From the manufacturer On a dark and stormy night you return to the creepy mansion that was the scene of a horrible murder. As one of the world’s leading psychic investigators, you need all your powers of interpretation to solve the crime. This expansion to the groundbreaking Mysterium adds six new items, six new characters, and six new locations to the game. It also introduces 18 story cards which add more depth to the ghost’s tale. Featuring beautiful art from Xavier Collete and M81 Studio the ghost can only communicate through the visions of the psychics. Will you be able to decipher the clues? One player takes on the role of the ghost. They have all the elements of the crime, but they need to lead the psychics to the right answers. Deduction, interpretation, and intuition will all come in handy in this paranormal expansion to the award-winning Mysterium! This is an expansion. A copy of the Mysterium base game is required for play.

**Q: we already have the game why do we have to purchase two of this expansion pack (minimum purchase requirement of 2)? Doesn't make sense?!?!**
A: To buy this expansion, currently, you have to buy 2 (minimum purchase requirement of 2 items). I think this must be wrong and the seller needs to correct this.

**Q: Can you play this without the other extension pack?**
A: Heya, yes is the short answer. The extension packs mainly build up your suspects, rooms and murder weapons. One of the extension packs  introduces a new type of card but you would substitute the new card type for the weapon cards. But either way having one extension and not the other will not affect if you can play the game :)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A good expansion that adds variety for regular Mysterium players

I picked up Secrets & Lies as an expansion to the base Mysterium game, which we’ve played regularly with friends. What I like: Adds new vision cards that feel distinct and slightly more abstract New story cards increase variety and replayability without changing the core rules Integrates seamlessly with the base game — no complicated setup Artwork quality matches the original game and maintains the atmosphere Things to be aware of: You’ll need to be familiar with the base game for this to shine Some of the new cards are more challenging to interpret, which may not suit newer players Doesn’t dramatically change gameplay, more of an evolution than a reinvention After several plays, this expansion does a good job of refreshing the experience, especially if you’ve played the original scenarios multiple times. It adds depth and variety without slowing the game down, which is exactly what I’d want from an expansion. Overall, this is a solid addition for fans of Mysterium who want more content and a slightly higher challenge level. I’ve rated it 4 stars as it builds nicely on the base game, but it’s best suited to groups already comfortable with the original.
