I could not find one I liked in the local stores, so took a chance to buy one online, over my wife's objections. It arrived a few weeks ago. Based on the pictures, this chair appeared to be exactly what I was looking for. But looks can be deceiving. When it arrived it looked great. But the first time I used it, I thought it was hard and uncomfortable. There is a hard and irritating spine right down the middle of the seat and also on the middle of the back. I had never heard of such a problem before. I was hoping my body weight would soften it, but no such luck. Now I can't stand sitting in it. It's like torture. I put a soft blanket over it and it still doesn't help. I bought it based on solid reviews on Amazon, although there were only nine of them. None were lower than a four. Maybe I should quit going by customer reviews. This chair is probably not returnable but I've decided that I'm going to try. I sleep in my chair alot of the time, and it is perfect for that. It is also perfect for working on my laptop. I would buy another one. the right arm rest opens to include a place for a drink, and a place for magazines or papers or something. I don't like that feature and did not even know it had that, until i accidentally found out. All in all i am very pleased with this chair, and feel it's going to last a long while. Very well made. My Lazyboy was a good friend. It finally gave out. So I looked up different options and am happy with this. This thing is rock solid. The size is great. It fits me like a glove. I am six foot tall and 220. The wide back is broad enough to allow me to shift around in comfort. I am extremely satisfied with my choice over Lazyboy.
