I stopped wearing the arm sling immediately and for about 85 to 90% percent of the day. I only wore the sling for temporary support in the evenings when my arm was tired. I found Youtube videos demonstrating how to apply the tape, and was able to do it myself, and got more efficient each time I reapplied it. The longest I wore the tape was about 5 days, and it survived soapy showers until the end. I started replacing it more frequently due my physical therapist skipping over the taped area, so I would remove it before therapy. I'm also highly sensitive to everything on the planet and this tape was no exception. I was fine until days 4 and 5 and the area would begin itching. As for tape removal, be careful not apply the tape and keep removing it to readjust it. It's fine during the initial application to adjust it a little bit, because when you lay the tape you rub it gently to heat it up which sets it.
