Review: Moderately Calm, Peppery Scent/Useful For Illness - Very nice essential oil. I thought Thyme would smell harsher, but it's not too bad, especially when blended. It IS gentler than other thyme chemotypes. It has a slightly woody, peppery, herbaceous scent to it. Linalool is the component that is important.. but I've never seen it spelled like this. I'm used to the spelling of: Linalol. So Thyme is good to ward off illness, respiratory problems,and digestive issues. It can be useful in skin cleansers and toners because of its astringent qualities. Overall, this bottle of Thyme is a good essential oil to own, as it can come in handy for many medicinal blends.

Very nice essential oil. I thought Thyme would smell harsher, but it's not too bad, especially when blended. It IS gentler than other thyme chemotypes. I have used Thyme oil as an anti-viral treatment for tick bites as well as other viral infections of the skin for years. I always like to keep it on hand and recently when I went to use it, I only had a few drops left.
