The dressing is designed to protect a wound, promote healing and allow the passage of exudate. The antibacterial effect of Actilite has been enhanced by combining high grade antibacterial Manuka oil with Manuka honey. Ingredients 99% Manuka honey and 1% Manuka oil Directions Clean the wound, put the bandage and fix it. Change the bandage regularly to maintain the antibacterial protection and moist wound environment. Review: Good - I used these when my laparoscopy belly button incision was being stubborn healing. I placed one over the incision, then taped a piece of medical dressing over it and left for a day or two. It kept it clean and gave the honey a chance to do its thing. Definitely helped get my incision to heal. I used it on a couple of other incisions aswell when the scab got knocked off and it really helped. An absolute must for wound healing. So much less mess than the paste version you can buy aswell. Review: Amazing product - Amazing treatment. I had quite a deep wound dehiscence about 2 X 2 CMS from a surgical wound that reopened slightly and just would not heal/close. I cut one strip into four and used individually, covering with a very good adhesive, waterproof plaster and left in place for 3-4 days each time then replaced with a new little patch & plaster. Every time I replaced it you could see the improvement and the patch came off dry with all the honey being absorbed/used for the healing process. Took approximately 3 weeks, but new tissue regeneration and healing occurred, where nothing else worked. I only used 2 whole strips so there are plenty left in the box. These have no adhesion (more of a mesh embedded with honey), so they must be covered with a dressing. They are individually sealed, so very hygienic and easy to cut to size (if required), through the pack without handling the unrequired mesh. Fantastic value for money and more importantly, they work. Essentially I want to place this on an adhesive dressing pad.** A: No its not sticky. You need to apply a gauze dressing over then use micropore or similar to stick to your skin. However, dressing should be left in place for up to 3 days. Will need to use waterproof tape if you want to shower. It is really good stuff and healed my seeping wound within 7days. Hope this helps. **Q: when I come to remove the dressing will it be stuck to the wound and if so what do I need to help remove it?** A: In four days the manuka dressing was well stuck to the wound...it took lots of water to unstick it...considering the hospital had advised me that the wound should have non stick dressing, the community clinic just put the manuka patch on and told me it would be ok for a week....fortunately its just been changed after 4 days.... **Q: Confused - exactly how many sheets of this dressing per pack/order?
