Since I put towel over the whole bed, I have not washed it as yet. Mine is medium size, my guess is yes. If I can't wash it, I will buy a new one which has 3 pieces. They are the foam bottom, U shape pillow and the cover. That means there is a zipper to open the pillow section allowing me to take out the pillow before wash. I bought my last one from Walmart.
