I like that I can confirm communication by seeing the LEDs flicker. No issues with communication so far.I ended up trimming the wires significantly to tidy up my installation. This reveal two things: the space inside the cable between the individual leads contains a white powder. I hadn't seen that before. Also the conductors are aluminum, not copper.
