## Description

The Rockville HTS56 5.1 Channel Home Theater System is the solution to your surround sound needs. The system is capable of 1000 watts peak power and 500 watts program, with 250 watts continuous RMS. We tested this system and it really hurt our ears. It's crazy loud! This complete home theater system features two full range 3” front speakers, two full range 3” rear speakers, a center speaker, and an 8” subwoofer. The speaker cabinets are made of strong MDF material and not particleboard like some systems out there. Each speaker has its own volume control so they can be adjusted independently. We include long length cables with RCA connectors. This allows you to quickly and easily mount the speakers wherever you want. One thing worth mentioning about conventional 5.1 channel systems is that when you play music using bluetooth or the radio or even other non HD sources you only get sound out of the two front speakers. With the Rockville HTS56 you can listen to music using any source and all 5 of the speakers and the subwoofer will always play together. You will get surround sound whether you are listening to music, watching a movie, or using the radio. The 8” subwoofer provides super clear deep, rich bass with no rattling or discernible distortion even at high volumes. It has a built in media player/receiver with digital readout, a 5-band EQ, FM radio, Bluetooth, SD/USB input, and two ¼” MIC inputs with echo control for Karaoke on the front. On the rear you have 5 RCA audio outputs, 6 RCA DVD audio inputs, 2 RCA AUX inputs, and an FM antenna input. There are also 5 RCA inputs to power each speaker's LED. A full function remote control is included so you never have to leave the comfort of your chair. The system also features an LED light system with multiple modes. The subwoofer LEDs can be set to blink to the beat, look like an EQ spectrum analyzer, or change colors (constant or cycle). The satellite speakers have cool blue LEDs that can be turned on or off.

Review: Super sound system and reasonable price - I have been wanting a home theater audio system and a multi input home stereo system. Of course at a reasonable price. Background history my wife wanted a karaoke system for her birthday a few years back. I stumbled across Rockville and bought one to save money. It actually was awesome for our needs and an unbelievable low price. We were not disappointed. My son DJ’s on the side so the sound was not to his level but the dual wireless mics, he borrowed those wireless mics for 2 years and then he got some from Rockville. I spent a lot of time looking at legacy name brand home theater and home stereo equipment and off brand name equipment. I was struggling with getting the legacy name brand systems. All the old names from the 80’s and 90’s basically gone or not what I was thinking equipment would be. Long story short, I kept seeing Rockville home theater systems and their options and great prices. I decided to go again with the Rockville brand and hoped to not be disappointed. Our living room has a 12’ vaulted ceiling and 600 sf area. I really thought I might be undersized with the sub woofer bass on this unit. I am 59 years old and maybe not hearing as well as when younger but this system is WOW, no kidding great. I have only had the volume to 70 on TV with sub woofer bass at midpoint, music shakes the furniture with the bass and our cat hides just like when he hears loud thunder. Bluetooth works great to stream music from my tablet or phone. Local FM stations locked in and sound great. It also has the 2 mic ports for karaoke, not tried that yet. So you can switch from 5.1 to 2.1 meaning home theater (rear speakers) or home stereo (no rear speakers mode) with remote, one button. I thought music would sound better in 2.1 and video movies better in 5.1. I prefer always in home theater mode, 5.1. I do adjust the sub woofer lower with a lot of speaking versus music. This one system met both of my needs, home theater and stereo. I am not getting compensated for this review. I just thought so much of this system, I figured this review might help people know you do not have to spend a lot of money to enjoy sound.

**Q: Is this true surround sound, I mean will you here gun shots to the left and right or in every speaker at once? Ty**
A: I am SO disappointed in these speakers.    As the others have said it is NOT a true 5.1 sound system.  Even though the sound is magnificent for the price,  it is NOT a discrete 5.1 system.   Watching a movie, the sound designed for discrete front speakers totally leaked into the back surround speakers.  I wish I had known this before I purchased.  Well others do now.

**Q: Will this connect to a 70" smart tv?**
A: Possibly... I have a Samsung 65" Smart TV and it works just fine

**Q: How well does this work with bluetooth paired to a phone just want,it for music?**
A: It pairs very easily and thus far I’ve never had any issues whatsoever. The sound is amazing and these relatively small speakers get very loud. Unlike some surround systems, this one actually plays your music in 5.1 instead of just the center and front satellites.

**Q: Will this require a converter to adapt rockville box to 75 inch lg smart tv**
A: I have mine hooked to a smart tv and all i needed  was the  audio cables, it comes with all cables needed to hook it up to your tv

Showed up early, packaged was great. Hooking up the system was very easy. Plug and play, that easy. I also got wall mounts for the speakers and they work great with it. The surround is great in my rec room. It was easy to adjust each speaker to the level I wanted and now my rec room sounds like a sports bar.
