Simple, no nonsense, value kits. This Spitfire is absolutely in their wheelhouse. Nicely presented & packaged with clear colour instructions. On-line reviews credited the moulding & dimensional accuracy of the kit and my example seems entirely consistent with the reviews. That said, only two RAF paint schemes & decals. No formal “wheels up” instructions. I will have to figure this out myself. All part of the fun! Packaging was damaged on arrival but kit did not suffer. Be patient and careful. **Q: What is the wingspan of the finished model kit? Does it come with a pilot?** A: The wingspan on the 1:32 Spitfire XIC is aboyt 14 inches. It looks great when finished. I have always loved Spitfires and the XIC is not my favorite it seems more Spitfire than the Mk IIB. No pilot there is a Mk II Hawker Hurricane that comes with a pilot. BY the way there are several,kits that have tank members sitting that will fit great! by Miniart1:35 is perfect fit and you can look up WWII RAF pilot uniforms and paint it to look like an RAF pilot.. This kit also from Amazon. Tankers helmets look like pilots and they wore goggles as well. I tried a kit by ICM "British Pilotss 1939-45 but pilot with parachute wouldnot fit. BY the way the Brits sat on there's so could leave the actual parachute off. By the way the RAF pilots come with mae Wesr life vests. I photo copied mine and made several for other figures. Includes bomb racks and bombs plus excellent, high quality decals for the marking options. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very good kit *by A***E on 12 May 2020* I hadn't built a plastic kit for over 40 years, and during the Covi-19 lockdown what better way to pass the time and build (appropriately, on the 75th anniversary of VE Day) a model Spitfire. There have been a lot of improvements in these kits in the space of 40 years - the detail is astonishing, and there are some incredibly small parts (some just a millimetre across), so its not a kit for the first-time builder, or for the fent-hearted. I was working with a magnifying glass and tweezers a lot of the time. But the kit fits together very well, and there is very little 'flash' on the sprues. Instructions are very detailed, and allow you to build several different versions. I'm about halfway through building it, and it is already looking great.
