I got a new computer which mostly runs with USB-C inputs and I still have lots of notebook external hard drives that use the typical usb cable, and I didn't want to use an adaptor etc.. This is for sure a life saver, and using the cable now my hard drives can transfer at USB-C speed. I have had no connection issues. No mystery on how to use or install, you just plug 1 end to the hard drive and the other to the pc/ Mac. My Mac had no issue detecting the hard drive when using this cable. One thing I would change was maybe had gotten this a bit longer, the table is a good length but could have even about 1ft longer.
