I've been wanting to get a Himalayan salt lamp for a very long time now, and finally just did it!  One of my favorite health food stores used to have a whole row of them along one wall and the fresh smell and ambiance it gave was great!  I would have to do more research into all the specific health benefits the salt lamps are suppose to emit but I do know they are beneficial beyond just their aesthetic. This lamp is well made and is a product I would recommend.

This is a larger block of salt and very sturdy. Along with the base, this is rather heavy.I like how there is a dimming option and even the brightest setting is not harsh but will cast a nice glow to the room.My only dislike is the dimming button, it is not very easy and adjust without having to pull it up and look at it.

   Heavy weight adds to the quality feel. I had this lamp set up on a table beside my sofa while watching movies and it is a nice, warm glow... it wouldn't distract me from the movie though it was nighttime and all lights were off. It's a cool rock.
