I'm very pleased with these box spring encasements and really glad that they've made them affordable. I don't have a lot of dough, and everything adds up, so it's good to know that these help me stay within my overall budget. I bought these bc I need something to keep mites out and also something that's waterproof. So far so good. The encasement doesn't make any noises when you lie down or move around on your bed. Both encasements I bought fit on my regular twin size box springs just fine. The material is nice and soft. I haven't tested out whether it's truly waterproof or not (like I haven't poured a cup of water on the outside of the encasement, mainly bc I am currently using them and haven't made the time to try that out yet), but I can see there's definitely a waterproof inner surface on the inside of the encasement. I dropped some water droplets on the inside of the encasement, and the water just sat on the surface unabsorbed... Ok, so I just dropped some water on the outside of the encasement and the soft fabric outer layer absorbed the water, but the inner waterproof layer prevented the absorbed water from coming through to the inside.
