I now have one in each greenhouse on my allotment, one for tomatoes and one for cucumbers. It shows a clear display of current temperature and humidity plus Max & Min values. Temp in either Degrees C or F. Max/Min can be zeroed. Altogether an excellent little gadget, compact easy to use and good value at just over £10. At this price if it gets nicked from the allotment it is not a great expense to buy another. And, yes, I have had another digital thermometer taken some time ago. It appears to be water resistant, in that I have sprayed it with a hose by accident with no after effects. So for a good value Thermometer/Hygrometer look no further. Definitely recommended. Review: Well-made, good value - A super little Thermometer/Hygrometer. Many thermometers only go up to 50C, but as I am currently working in a very hot region (I've photographed 49.8C on a public thermometer) I wanted one that went further, and this one does. I photographed 50.9 in the shade on it, one day. The controls are easy to operate, and the unit very reasonably priced. More then five years on, I am still using it, back in the UK. ## Features - High Quality Digital Thermometer / Hygrometer and clock - From a respected UK manufacturer trading since 1888 - Min / Max record for temperature and humidity - Wall or desk mounted - Accurate =/- 1 degree C, Humidity +/- 5% RH ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00AN7B8TC | | Battery Description | Battery included | | Battery description | Battery included | | Best Sellers Rank | 73,097 in Garden ( See Top 100 in Garden ) 248 in Hygrometers | | Brand | Zeal England | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 out of 5 stars 26 Reviews | | Manufacturer | Zeal | | Model Number | PH1000 | | Mounting Type | Wall Mount | | Mounting type | Wall Mount | | Operating Humidity | 10%RH to 99%RH | | Operating humidity | 10%RH to 99%RH | | Temperature Accuracy | =/- 1 degree C | | Temperature Reading Accuracy | plus_minus_1_degree_celsius | | Temperature accuracy | =/- 1 degree C | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | | Upper Temperature Rating | 70 Degrees Celsius | | Upper temperature rating | 70 Degrees Celsius | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Zeal England - **Battery description:** Battery included - **Mounting type:** Wall Mount - **Upper temperature rating:** 70 Degrees Celsius - **Temperature accuracy:** =/- 1 degree C ## Images ![Genuine Zeal PH1000 Digital Thermometer Hygrometer Min Max Temperature/Humidity - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41i3KlPOl7L.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: how tall is it?** A: The device is about 8 -10cm high x 6 - 7.5cm wide x 1cm deep. This is approximate as the device is in my greenhouse on my allotment and it's dark now!! It is very light in weight and has a clear readout. It is fairly water proof. I mist my greenhouse to keep up humidity and it has got "misted" quite frequently to no ill effect. **Q: genuine zeal ph1000 or p1000 which is best for a greenhouse ?** A: Both will work well in a greenhouse, but for me the PH1000 with the humidity reading is best. **Q: Can the hygrometer be calibrated (adjusted)? Thanks** A: Not sure what adjustments are required. This hygrometer will record temperature and RH continually. So, at any one time these can be recorded. Additionally, the min/max can be found over a particular period of time. Hold the min/max for about 5 secs and the memory is cleared. Double check for clearance by checking the min /max and both should be the same reading as it is now starting to record from zero time. Leave to record for as long as required. Temp accuracy is +/- 1oC and RH accuracy is +/- 5%. If a greater accuracy is required, then you need a data logger at a cost of £70-80. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent value Thermometer/Hygrometer *by S***S on 16 July 2014* This is the second one I have purchased.
