Product Description Small mirror suspended with a floating ball. The exercise mirror should be placed in with your Betta for maximum 5 minutes at a time, once or twice per day. Safety Warning Do not place in water for more than 5 minutes at a time. Hang the mirror on the wall, do not place on uneven surfaces to prevent falling and breaking.

They also need an engaging and entertaining surroundings to remain curious and active. I pop this mirror in my betta tank everyday for 5 to 10 minutes maximum and he starts flaring and going around it instantly. This imitates their natural instinct to fight another male in nature without actually being hurt or hurting another betta. My only qualm is that you cannot take the black lettering off the mirror but my betta seems unbothered by it. Recommended for all betta parents (alongside some kind of hammock or floating log where they can hide and lie to rest when sleeping)

So my Mr sassy pants gets a little carried away when I pop it into his tank, he will flare the entire time and just swim around it, sometimes laying himself flat against the mirror as if he is covering his enemy. He really is one tough dude you know! This product floats really well, very well made, no sharp edges that your betta could catch themselves on and provides some hilarious entertainment with your own mr sassy pants!

**Q: Did you know this stresses out your betta and makes them go into attack mode. This makes it more likely for your betta to get hurt as well.**
A: Limited stress like this is very beneficial for betta’s. Flaring not only triggers natural instinct, but helps with boredom and relieves constipation which can be common betta.

**Q: Can I use this mirror with goldfish?**
A: You can kind of use this with a goldfish, I mean, yes, you totally can. It will float in any tank. BUT you will not get the reaction from a gold fish that this is intended to create from a betta. I think this would be wasted on anything other than a betta.

**Q: my betta wont come anywhere near the mirror how do I resolve this problem**
A: Every Betta is different. I only put in the tank about 5 minutes at a time, for exercise. Rinse it off and try in another tank with another Betta.

**Q: I never received the product. How do I get my money back?**
A: Contact Amazon customer service. I’ve never had this problem, but I’m certain Amazon will do everything possible to help!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Makes my boy flare but seems to stress him out a little too much.

After getting my first half moon betta I thought I should invest in a mirror to encourage flaring and help keep his fins strong so he doesn’t start to struggle later in life with the weight of them. I’d never used a mirror before so wasn’t sure what to expect… but boy did he not like it 😅. The mirror itself is thin and almost plastic feeling but works perfectly well. It’s attached to a floating ball so it can non around in the tank own it’s own with ease. The first time I used it my boy just hid from it but by the third time he well and truly hated it and was flaring and swimming round getting plenty of exercise and really working his muscles… It has got to the point though where he is very stressed with it and we have decided to not use it right now and wait till he’s older and see if he needs the exercise then. It can also be used if a betta gets bloated or constipated as it helps them poop! So it will also get stored away incase we need it for that. It does state on the mirror to only use it for 5 minutes at a time and that really shouldn’t be ignored as too much stress is really detrimental to any fish. It’s hard to tell before you buy the mirror how yours will react so be prepared to not be able to use it if it does cause too much stress. From what I’ve read my boys overly stressed reaction isn’t the norm and if you have a fish that flares and swims around in a more chilled manner then using it a couple of times a week shouldn’t be an issue. Overall this is a decent enough mirror that works well, but sadly my not got too stressed and we can no longer use it. I would however still recommend it to try as it can be very beneficial if the fish is okay with it.
