Our Tube Bulk head connector is made of safe,non-toxic material (Polypropylene), which allows users to connect and disconnect quick and easy without the need of any other tools.It is used to mount hoses through any flat surface! It fits standard tubing OD 1/4" Copper, CPVC, PEX and PVC tubing for most RO systems Where to use it? Applications include RO system, beverage dispensing, refrigerator ice maker Water Line Kit, coffee machine etc. This quick connect fitting is perfect for using in a plastic container with flat walls or any flat surface! These give the setup a professional look. This will take the headache out of an water filter installation How to use it? the top is detachable when unwind the nuts,the nut on the bottom will fully unscrew from the fitting. It is then basically a bolt and nut, with a hole thru the bolt. The head of the "bolt" has a 1/4"hole in it with a catch mechanism to hold a piece of 1/4" OD tubing like used for a refrigerator ice maker. Just drill the hole and screw these bulkheads on. To remove, just push in the outer circle on each end and pull right out. You need to make sure the tubing is cut squared to insure no leaks. Be sure you cut the tubing even and straight, without crimping it. Then insert straight, and all the way into the connector. If it's crooked, or not inserted all the way, or crimped, it may leak

Review: Good fittings - Used these as through-the-wall water fittings at the bottom of the side on 5-gallon plastic buckets. This is part of an automated watering system for a greenhouse grow bucket setup. They installed very easily and don’t show any sign of leaking after a whole season of use.
Review: Good Fitting...but should have gasket or o-ring - I have included a few images of how I installed this small 1/4" bulkhead for a RO water reservoir. I am using a plastic tote for the water and it needed extra support on the sides. So I used two. I made a larger hole in the outside tub. Then for the actual bulkhead, I used a 9/16" bit for the hole. It's just barely the right size. That's exactly what I wanted so that I could use the threads to screw it into the plastic cresting a tight friction seal. My issue with these fittings is that they do not come with an o-ring. Personally, I feel safer with a rubber seal on the inside of the reservoir to keep it from leaking. I ended up using one I took out from an old garden sprayer. It's just the right size and created a tight seal. It was thicker than I would have preferred but there was still enough thread on the fitting to get the nut tight. That is my reasoning for deducting 1 star from my review. I hope this helps someone.
