I have a retired racing greyhound adopted early last year. This first winter with me and the poor thing was shivering overnight. I tried several different blankets, but they were all small and flimsy despite being rated for extra large dogs. These blankets are thick, and virtually indestructible. My dog drags them around, attacks them and chews them, and there is no sign after 2 months of any weakening or damage. She destroyed a covered duvet within 2 weeks! And no more shivering. She is warm and happy, and so am I. Well worth the price which did give me pause for thought initially, but absolutely worth it. She has one on her bed and another in the living room. He loves pulling the plastic packaging open. But he isnt a fan of the noise it makes when he walks over it. The scrunching noise it makes, makes him avoid the whole blanket and rather than walk or sit on it. He will wall all the way round it. The cost was rather expensive.
