They have an absolutely wonderful, clean, fresh smell that lingers a bit. I have no problems with the bags ripping, and the thickness is fine for me. However, I don't overstuff trash bags. I got these because my daughter loves light blue, and we live by the beach, so I thought they'd be fun. I had not seen these in stores, so I bought them blindly. I've also used the pink and teal ones, and I'd say these light blue ones smell the best! They have an absolutely wonderful, clean, fresh smell that lingers a bit.
