**Q: Is this asbestos free or less than 1% of asbestos??**
A: hi
It is now illegal to supply vermiculite with asbestos in it, and has been since the 1990's,  we buy our vermiculite from Sinclair so no there will be no asbestos in it.

    Not just for gardening!

My intention in buying it was to make tufa  *light weight cement for making garden containers (the granules are the equivalent of the pebbles in mortar.)I checked in a local garden centre and this bag had far less dust and seemed better quality. In terms of quantity this bag would fill one seed tray, and if you consider you are scattering it at most 5mm deep, it will go a long way.
