He is usually a Medium in t shirts, but I decided to size up to an XL rather than an L for two reasons: a.) I wanted the shirt a bit big so he could easily pull it over his head to display the dinosaur and b.) the shirt could run small. The XL is probably a bit too roomy, but that's my fault for sizing up too much. Nonetheless, the shirt is still fun/cute and he loved it, and I'm assuming it will shrink in the wash to be about the perfect size.
