I use 10mm for carpet underlay and the tacker works really well. It may be possible to get / use other sizes of staple too. **Q: Dose this cam with any staples?** A: I bought this a number of years ago and it didn't come with any staples then. **Q: Does it have to be a certain brand of staples ?** A: No, providing you get the right size staple. **Q: How do you get a staple out once it’s stuck?** A: If you can’t pick it it out with a tweezers or something else it is possible to take the tacker to pieces if you have the patience and time. Take out the spring that holds the staples in. Then can’t remember the best order to do it in as it was a few years ago I did it, but If you lift up the rubber handle you can push the pin out, Undo the Allen key at the front and there are two bolts on the top which holds some parts onto the frame. Just remember where everything goes and it should just all go back together again. But I just wish they would have known exactly what type of staples goes with the tool which is not 12mm as mentioned in the description but maximum 10mm. DO NOT BUY 12mm STAPLES FOR THIS TOOL! I think they should give us back the money we customers spent for the staples that do not fit, but they advised us to buy (why 4 stars).
