Review: Very nice coffee grinder! - I really like this coffee bean grinder. I take it with me camping and use it with a percolator to make coffee. I set the grinder so it grinds the beans more course than I do on my home coffee maker and it works perfectly. This thing is well made and should last awhile! Very easy to use and pack away when done.
Review: Best grinder I’ve used! - It seemed like a pricey leap going from cheap $10-20 grinders, to this - but it was absolutely worth it! My old grinders were inconsistent and a pain to use. Not to mention they were built with plenty of plastic pieces, and tiny bits actually shred off into the coffee grounds, so I’d have to dump it. With this grinder I can grind my beans in half the time with the metal grinder gear, at a smoother and significantly more consistent rate. Not having to worry about plastic shavings falling into my coffee is obviously extremely nice as well! Overall this grinder is definitely worth the money and will make your coffee brewing a much more pleasant experience!

Everybody's talking about reducing microplastics in kitchen items but no one talks about the microplastics involved in coffee prep. I got rid of my old coffee grinder because of the plastic top. When heat is generated by the spinning blade, I assume it causes the plastic to shed. There are no plastic parts whatsoever in this grinder. Aesthetically, this is a very pleasing little appliance. It feels nice to the touch and looks sleek on the countertop (with the smallest footprint, which is a huge plus in a small kitchen). The grounds slide out easily. The main drawback is that it can only fit 2 large scoops of beans at a time. If you're making more than one cup of coffee, that would be a lot of reloading. I did my research, and the Timemore was a Wirecutter recommendation. You can fine-tune the coarseness of the grind depending on your brewing method. I found that it's easier to hold whole thing in your hands while grinding, rather than setting it on a surface. If you have the time, hand-grinding your beans makes for a nice coffee ritual and I really like this one.
