We get little to no water vapor. I posted a question and was told you have to run with the top/cover on which we did but it seems to me the fan on the bottom is not strong enough to drive the water vapor out the top. All we get is a puddle under the unit after an hour of spitting. I can take the cover off and believe the ultrasonic part is working but the fan is just not doing it's job. We don't want to return it but no way to reach seller so it looks like back in the box it goes. I noticed as soon as I got it that the glass lid did not completely fit the plastic underneath where the water is supposed to exit. However, that was not the issue. This product was used 5 times and then stopped working out of nowhere. It was very disappointing especially since it was a gift. Amazon is very nice to issue a refund due to the item being defective, but now looking at the other reviews, I wish I had bought this diffuser from somewhere else. My problem is that I like bright and pretty and shiny stuff so this one was perfect for me. When it’s not on it’s still pretty because it’s a nice silver color and ironically silver is one of my, if not my totally, favorite colors. It’s really nice to leave on for a while because it does not get warm to the touch . I still do not suggest you using this without supervision, don’t leave it running if you’re not going to be in or around the room it’s in. I would also make sure to keep away from children so it does not spray in their face.
