They are well made and finished and lookthe part. Don't expect miracles with heavy standmounted speakers, they will rock slightly on the pillars.Not on the floor spikes but on the actual uprights where they join the base. This is inevitable given thethickness of the base material. If a heavy speaker is used (say over 10Kg) then a product further up theAtacama range will be required with a more solid base. I am sure they would be fine with a lighter loudspeaker,and are great for the asking price. The stick on Atacama labels are a bit of an afterthought and were all curled up and wouldn't stick. I would therefore recommend for speakers under 10 Kg - which to be fair is the majority ofstandmounters. A pair of Celestion floor mounted speakers which never quite sounded like they did in the shop.Due to limited space and the fact that everyone else just wanted to listen to music rather than faff I bought a Sonos Connect Amp. With it's limited EQ for me the Sonos was worse. The Celestions went when my lad moved out and I dug out an old pair of B&W shelf type speakers Better, but still not right.We'd had a pair of speaker stands years ago and I remember thinking the sound we had then was really good, many hours trolling through product reviews and went with these as a sort of toe dipping exercise.Wow is all I can say! Next day delivery, well packed, simple to put together, really sturdy……….and the B&Ws had never sounded so good, even through the Sonos. Crystal clear and even the limited EQ was no longer an issue. Haven't bothered to fill them with sand or the expensive grain things.Really? These were bought for functionality rather than trying to improve the sound of my speakers. My speakers used to sit on some sturdy oak cd racks which were too tall for where we had them placed. I have not noticed any difference in sound quality between the old set up and the Nexus 5i. Speakers are Kef Q350 connected to Bluesound Powernode 2i.
