A: For the best shower results the rule of thumb is the more hot water the better.
In a RV/Camper the standard has typically been 5 gallons. It makes for a short quick shower unless you turn the hot and cold on real slow and suffer a really weak stream of water but it allows for more time to shower. On the other hand though, the 8 gallon will defiantly make a big difference...almost double as compared to the standard 5 gallon. If you have the room for a bigger water heater and can afford it...again, more is better.
