The New Wave Posh Glass Palette is made from 1/8th inch tempered glass for maximum strength and safety. A: I would say no, the gray background is the best way to see the truest version of the color you're mixing.

**Q: What color Value is the Grey palette?**
A: It’s a neutral grey and works very well for accurate color mixing.  On a value scale of 1 - 11, with 1 being white and 11 being black, it is a 6.

**Q: What can I purchase to cover this palette (12x16) to keep my oil paints fresh for a day or two🙏🏻**
A: It fits perfectly in a Masterson covered palette.  Put a little clove oil in to help oils from drying out

**Q: I like to keep my oil paint palette in the freezer between sessions.  Can this palette be safely placed in the freezer?**
A: Sorry, I do not know.  I keep my left-over paint on the palette in a plastic box with a tight lid.... keeps well for 2-3 days.
