It's really easy to fit, especially if you already have the Doorbell fitted as it uses the original holes in the wall. You really can't expect too much from this though. The solar panels surrounding the Doorbell are very small. It really requires placing in the optimum sunny position to be really appreciated. Admittedly, mine is east facing, under a small shelter and sees the sun for only a few hours in the morning. I really don't expect much from it, but just hoping it will extend battery charging frequency. It's been 4 days and the battery is hanging around 90% which is acceptable considering the use it has, my settings for video capture and it's position.Definitely 10/10 for product quality, but don't expect it to fully charge a battery in a few hours (something even the battery charger won't do). ### ⭐ Disappointed! *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 13 July 2026* I have been using this solar charger with my Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Generation) for over a week, but so far there has been no sign that it is actually charging the battery.During the daytime, the Ring app settings show that the doorbell is connected to the solar charger. However, at night it shows the doorbell as running on battery and displays the remaining battery percentage.
