I have 3 red puppies and 2 green frogs. I found when he was very little he only liked the soothie pacifiers. I had actually gotten a wubanub for my older son but he never took to pacifiers. When I gave my younger son the puppy paci he was hooked. I love these because the are easy to find - the red stands out. He leaves them all over the house. I also love that if they drop they rarely land with the part they suck on the floor and they don't roll away like the soothies do when they aren't connected to something. He loves them so much sometimes he wants to carry around two and have one in his mouth. They are perfect for him to find in the crib when he is sleeping since they are so big. Plus they make for some pretty funny pictures. Put a frog in his mouth and some sunglasses on and you can't help but smile. I throw them in the washing machine when I wash the kids clothes to keep them clean. Sometimes he even brings them in the tub with him. I do like having multiples so I can have some to wash, and not have to worry if I misplace one, or leave one in a bag or the car. The only downside was that when he first started using them he got a little blister on his chin where the pacifier was rubbing on it since the puppy had more weight. He loves them. They are the perfect size for a growing baby whose coordination is still kind of hit-or-miss. He can grasp the animal and chew on the soft part even if he can't get the pacifier to his mouth. They are easy to locate, too, no matter where you are...much easier than finding a small pacifier. He is 14 months and still loves to carry it around. I was worried because the soothie pacifier can't be detached but these have lasted 14 months and I throw them in the washer/drier and they come out like new. They claim to be for up to age 3-6 months but they are actually quite durable. Soothie makes pacifiers for older kids but not in a Wubbanub.We get these for gifts for anyone we know is having a baby. Because they are attached and weighted down (like a beanie baby) they are great for young babies who can't hold a pacifier by themselves.
