Here's what I learned:Our water kept getting cloudy after purchasing this filter, so I kept adding more chemicals and increased our filtering cycles. When the Calspa rep heard I'd bought new filters, he knew the problem before I'd even shown him.These filters only have a single strap around the middle to keep the pleats in place. What this means is that when your jets turn on, the pleats spread apart and water is only able to get through the gap between the two pleats that have spread open instead of flowing equally through them all. You can both see and FEEL that there is less water flow going through there. The result is less water flow, less debris getting filtered, and more strain on your motors. You may think these filters are working just fine, but you're decreasing the life of your motors and putting more stain on your hot tub.I purchased one from Calspa (that has two straps near top and bottom) and the problem immediately resolved itself.
