Whether panels of different sizes can be connected together depends mainly on the voltage and current between the panels. Solar panels in series need to have the same or similar current of solar panels; When connected in series, the current value tends to be the minimum current of the panels; (not dangerous, but not recommended) if one panel is blocked or damaged by other objects and loses its power, then the whole circuit will be blocked. The panels in series will also be limited by the low output, so much power will be lost. So it is not recommended.
