Also the PES is found to not filter any of the "active compound" itself. The loss that can occur is that a drop or two may remain in the filter unit though I HIGHLY caution against forcing air through to produce those remaining drops. A burst of a few foamy drops can occur which is the residual particulate and filtrate being pushed around the sides of the filter. It's not worth the couple drops, or a small amount of water can be passed through slowly after. - The studies shows less fluid remains behind with the size 15mm or 13mm diameter filters than with the 25mm, though I prefer these larger 25mm.
