It did not come with any paperwork, like instructions, notice, etc.So, we did not have any idea that it did expand in height some more, which it did after a few days.It came in a vacuum packed plastic bag, crammed so tight in a now rounded small carboard box , that I had to carefully cut the box open, until it "exploded" under pressure.Guess the manufacturing company didn't want to waste 1 inch of carboard!What I was expecting, didn't come!If you're looking for real thickness, like we were, look elsewhere!!The polyester thickness, after it finally expanded was about 3/4", but you could push it flat with your pinky.It is a good looking mattress cover, but not liquid proof. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Very decent mattress pad, nothing more, and nothing less *by M***U on Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2018* What I received is a very decent mattress pad, nothing more, and nothing less. I would be hard-pressed to describe this mattress pad as a pillow topper. It is not very "poofy" at all, but it is well sewn and deep enough to easily cover my old, firm Stearns and Foster mattress and, in addition, a LANGRIA 2" Plush Latex Mattress Topper with Removable Bamboo Fabric Zippered Cover, Medium Feel, which I purchased at the same time that I purchased this mattress pad. When combined with the mattress topper, I am very comfortable and happy with the results. Without the mattress topper, I don't think the mattress pad alone would have made much of a difference.
