I've been looking for a shiny purple lipstick that really screams, and this is the one. I put all lipsticks through the same test, which is applying them before an intensive hour of heavy aerobics. This tests their waterproofness as well as their tendency to dry lips. I lick my lips a lot when I work out, and any lipstick that dries the lips as all ends up chapping me.
