The trunk it absolutely beautiful. Smells like fresh cut wood. The latches have that wonderful click sound. The interior is nice and velvety. My husband did add a leather handle because there is nothing to apply tension to, to open the box besides. Also one of the latches where the box clasps meet were catching, so I had to wiggle the box to get it together. Besides those 2 things the box wad perfect for our needs.
