There's a straight ahead light and then there's a downward light. They both have their uses and together they're very useful. The cane is sturdy and stable. As with all self standing canes whether or not it stands is dependent on the surface you're standing it on and how the feet wear. My one complaint is the Velcro strap used to hold the cane together doesn't last long.. I wish they had used more of an elastic type band. I did have a problem with the battery compartment cover. It was loose and eventually fell off and was lost. This was several months after purchasing the cane. I contacted the seller and they responded the same day. They shipped the lost part for free the day they got my address and I was back in business a couple days later. The new cover isn't even loose like the original. Their customer service team was fast, friendly and eager to help. It's really a great feeling when you deal with customer service people who care about their products and customers. Given my experience with this company, especially in light of my experience with their competitor, they have won a loyal customer.
