Sooo, I've had mine installed on a white painted garage door for about 18 months. The door gets plenty of direct exposure to strong sunlight for at least six hours per day. I just peeled one of the magnets from the door, and the white paint looks the same underneath the magnet as the rest of the door. There has been no staining or other discernible changes in appearance due to the magnet. The cost of the paint, tape, labor, and it would be on my garage permanently, compared to the price, the ease of applying , and they can be removed, the Magnetic Garage Door Windows was a no brainer. These MGDW were nicely packaged, the quality is very good (not flimsy) , and they have a nice shine. Applying the MGDW from start to finish was about 15 minutes. I eyed balled it ( I didn't want to mark off and tape). It came out pretty darn great! They are very sturdy, and I don't see them going anywhere! From the street they look like the Real thing. Really Dressed up my plain boring white windowless garage door.
