It was a bit hard to understand how to start it at first, but duh, I should have turned the page...lol. I love that you don't have to change the pot and cook it in something else to finish. It will also keep it warm and let the juices settle in the meat. The size is great for a 6 pound chicken or a roast. I find it easy to clean and storing does not take up much room either. The seal on the lid shows a great quality in building it. I think it is a must have and I am looking forward to using it many times.

**Q: Is this good for smoking ham hocks?**
A: Yes

**Q: Does water need to be added to the bottom before using the slow cooker?**
A: Don't add water to the bottom of the slow cooker vessel. Put the water or liquid, such as broth, into the slow cooker insert itself.

**Q: Can slow cooker liners be used with this?**
A: They can certainly be used on the slow cooker function, but I don't have an answer as to using them when smoking.  I'm a little afraid to try it.  That said, it really cleans up pretty easily after smoking. Read a variety of comments, such as using only 1/4-1/3 fill of chips; there are valuable tips from other buyers/users.  Hope you love it.  It's very handy for small families, couples and singles in particular

**Q: Can you cook baby back ribs**
A: you can cook any thing you can fit in the pot. one options is like a crock pot with smoke added. i do mine in a pressure cooker first to cook and tenderize the ribs , then use this to smoke them. less grease in the smoker too.

Love this smoker. Wanted something smaller, not a huge smoker. Lightweight and easy to clean. Spray cover with cooking spray for easy clean up. Will smoke a whole rack of baby back ribs. Great smoke flavor. You can use it indoors, but it emits more smoke than we'd like, so I set it on a table on the back patio. Will definitely use this a lot. Great price too...
